What does JR owning idem have to do with it? Pricing isn't based on where it's printed, but rather, the artist and the work that has been printed.

I would think that either owning the printing press vs paying the owner of a printing press would have an impact on the overall cost and impact the price. For example, if the materials, labor, and facilities cost $2000 in total, the print would not be sold for $1000.
I don't understand why his prints seen to be arbitrarily priced. The Kikito border print are the same dimensions with 14 colors vs 11 and that's at 850. I'd be hard pressed to spend $1000 on a print where I don't see the value increasing in the future and the works rarely sell out. If I find the artwork less appealing in the future, the print would need to be sold at a loss. For me I'd rather just print out the image with a printer myself onto nice paper in a smaller dimension to enjoy the image, but spend the money on an original from an emerging artist.

Tend to agree with this analysis. Why also reissue Favela at double the price of all the others?

Knew about this a while ago but don't bother to mention new releases these days cos there are too many cockwombles on here looking to make a fast buck. I feel bad about that but don't want to be complicit. Big up the true art lovers!
