Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by nobokov on Aug 6, 2018 20:22:36 GMT 1, Yes but I think for that reason the smaller spots look more complete I could see this. And this is the only work type that sectioning is even viable on.. but still, it's odd in my head Are the veil painting prints also sections of an original? If so, I wonder if all 4 combined would complete the image.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by moron on Aug 6, 2018 22:47:07 GMT 1, I think it's a compromise. Rather than Hirst painting a smaller painting the same size as a limited edition and having that produced full size showing the splodges or spots the same size in the print as the painting. He has painted huge canvases and if the whole painting was reduced in size to print size the splodges would be tiny. No worries if anyone feels let down, I can paint them an identical looking canvas and even sign it Hirst on the back for a few dollars more or less. How much would your Pollock and Twombly replicas cost a man? Unsigned I can only accept the international currency known as Monopoly money. Hand delivered by a courier wearing a sta prest suit or sta prest trousers and a safari jacket on a Freddy Laker direct flight from Hong Kong. Meeting at *********** subway station passing each other in the crowded platform and swiftly handing over suitcase. I expect the suitcase to be filled with at least a hundred stacks of Monopoly money and no funny business, no phone books in the suitcase.
Delivery of artwork will be by Somali pirates only at your risk.

"Please note, we are anticipating a large attendance for the event and would like to make you aware that there will be a queuing system in place to allow everyone the chance to register their interest in a Hirst edition. We will be handing out the forms to be filled out before entry."
Perhaps I'm missing something here but it strikes me as slightly odd filling in the form before you get in to see the actual prints in the flesh.

You could always fill it out and not give it to them if you decide it's not your thing.

The thought of a bun fight though totally puts me off trying to get one of these. I'm not THAT fussed. I'd still like an H4 print though, if anyone wants to pass one on!?

I wouldn't worry about it. There will be plenty of people who don't turn up and quite a few unsold. It won't be a sellout thats for sure.
I'd fill in a form and write an offer of a hundred quid on it for one providing it's signed and comes with a COA

Now whether that’s 50, 100, 200 etc they are saying they will hand out the redg/int forms to you.
Seems sensible and cool to me if people arrive early to be first etc.
There is a limited number Esp if people prefer a particular one. If not they can turn up after it opens when there will not be a que
Strikes me this is a sensible offering and organisation so not sure what people are moaning about
