Those H5 editions look nice on the wall. I hope I am wrong about the white background editions going quickly.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Chris JL on Aug 11, 2018 1:44:42 GMT 1, Was actually a quite painless and well managed process (if you wondered who was the two years old running around the venue, that was my daughter - our resident art critic). Now fingers crossed. Heni will manage the rest of the process (not the Tate) and should get back to applicants within two weeks or so.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Chris JL on Aug 11, 2018 1:48:06 GMT 1, Oh nice. The plexi glass bonded on top, is it anti reflective? Wouldn't say anti reflective but definitely somewhat matt or something similar. Actually could be the professional lighting hah.
Nope, not anti reflective at all (I’ve seen it earlier in mostly natural light). But not worse than the glass that many use even for framing their Banksy (personally, once you start using proper anti reflective glass, it’s not easy to stomach anything else).

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Express Post on Aug 11, 2018 6:23:12 GMT 1, If you have the budget for anti reflective, then go for it. But it depends on how much you want to capitalise and if the artwork is worthy of that treatment.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Deleted on Aug 11, 2018 10:55:45 GMT 1, Has anyone received the application email yet? I received mine at 10 o'clock last night, although I did request it about a week ago. Annoyingly, the boxes which you should put 1st choice, 2nd choice etc. would only fill in with a tick. But perhaps that was down to my computer settings, I don't know.

Thank you, it sounds the same as h4 where the certificate is signed and mounted on the reverse. That’s how serpentine explained it to me.

I'm guessing that means they wont be sent off to Heni until Wednesday which is very annoying!

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by 1000steps on Aug 11, 2018 22:37:20 GMT 1, Congrats to everyone who was able to file an H5 registration.
I personally have not been able to get traction with these. Should have used my HENI invite, flown over, and filed a registration in person.
Maybe it's karma, as I acquired my favorite of the H4 editions toward the end of that allocation process, which felt like good luck. Can't win them all.

I’m pretty sure there are about 800 left as they haven’t been allocated yet.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Express Post on Aug 12, 2018 2:13:51 GMT 1, Probably a handful but not as many as you think. Everyone has been scared off by the number 800.
Kinda like how things cooled down for Heni Richters when flippers had sore anuses after they were raped by unsigned editions of 500, P15/P16. Due to the weight of these heffers, the cost of transporting them decimated any margins, hence many were stuck with them. Plus it was a Flow painting, the least desired from Richter's body of work.

These are signed and numbered, and aren't too big, so shipping costs on these won't be ginormous.

I’ve owned a good number of the richter editions. I still own some of the P editions and works on paper. They are absolute beauties. Editions are an important part of his body of work. Comparing Richter to Banksy is bizarre. The shipping on the larger P editions is significant. However, many collectors outside of this street art forum are more than happy to purchase a large richter for an affordable price. So in the short term people haven’t made money. Who cares. In the long term it will be a different story. They are beautifully produced and look amazing when hung.
