They don’t need to be but I’m having mine framed. I just felt it looks a little corporate without a homely frame on but that’s just my take on it

Is there a need to worry about UV protection etc with the dibond?

I’m considering that. Please post a pic once it’s done.

Diasec already provides an UV filter. Its UV rating varies from 90% to close 99% (depending on the diasec type).

Unless you are a patron, or f&f of Heni/the artist, just wait it out.

And, as they said "within" I thought they would have sent out at least a few e-mails by now as I doubt they are going to send out all 800 e-mails at the same time...or are they?

Very much doubt they’ve sold all 800. I would imagine it would be a couple of hundred. The whole process is painful - I hope other galleries and publishers don’t adopt their tedious release methods.

It's quite a clever selling method really, creating a sense that you're one of the lucky chosen few. 800 to sell, so wait until you have 800 buyers then announce all emails have gone out and they sold "instantly"... rather than sitting on a webpage for 2 weeks and buyers assuming they must be unpopular, so changing their mind!

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by charliec2701 on Aug 22, 2018 21:59:41 GMT 1, And the plot thickens ..............
Spoke to some half asleep blase dim witted staff member at Heni Editions today who refused to divulge her name or that of anyone else involved in the H5 release. The employees seemed to be top secret FFS ?? She claimed that all offers have already gone out through the Tate and that it is completely sold out and if you haven't heard already then too bad, sold out, missed out, adios. When I pointed out that the Tate are even now still taking registrations she replied "Impossible!!!" .... She clearly had no idea what was going on within the building.
And so I then contacted the Tate ..... They chased Heni today for an update on successful buyers and asked should they continue taking registration orders? Heni informed them that the successful buyers list was on its way and that yes they should continue to take orders.
When the time comes Tate are sending out emails stating either you're successful or not. That way everyone is kept informed not just the chosen few. Possibly over the weekend I was informed ??
Methinks Heni will continue to ask for buyers even if it's sold out as it's all about increased database profiling.

Heni's total lack of communication with regards the inevitable delay in adhering to supply deadlines is also a cause for concern. Those P13/15/16's were months over their due date and I think the H2/3 were also well over. Lets see if H4 make September Not holding my breath.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Express Post on Aug 22, 2018 22:20:05 GMT 1, From training staff, it is better to say that you don't know than try to be helpful with limited info. Save customers time, and staff the headache of backtracking if info changes.
Thanks for chasing up, but until we start hearing back from Tate directly, the status of the process is open to speculation.
Just to put things in perspective, they are still finalising H4 sales. So do the math on that release, H5 process may stretch into winter.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Express Post on Aug 22, 2018 22:57:35 GMT 1, I don't know what everyone was told personally, but the message was that it would take two weeks from woah to go. I don't see the point of expecting an update from Tate earlier than Friday, and I doubt they will get through all notifications in one day either. Hounding them isn't going to expedite the process. Where is everyone's patience?

In the real world it’s possible to deal with people and hit deadlines, I know I have to or I’d lose my job.
I’ve dealt with numerous galleries through my years who have a jumped self importance and an unwillingness to adhere to customer service... it’s funny how in time many of those seem to disappear ...
(All my dealings with Heni have been awful)
