Yeah I contacted start of the month was told none left. Contacted again 2 weeks later after seeing some people on here got their hands on one and was then told to put my details down on the list... but it's still sold out. Who knows. Pigs can fly can't they?

With respect I think you might underestimate this artist’s popularity, which, it goes without saying, stretches way beyond the tiny (in context) population of this forum. Of course I may be wrong (certainly not for the first time), and they may not sell out, but I would be surprised.

I certainly agree that releases can get hyped here quite blatantly, and it’s unsavoury to watch. My point, though, is that I think this forum will have little effect on this release, as Hirst’s demand goes way beyond its modest reach.
This is an unusual way to sell prints, so far as collectors here are concerned. We are used to seeing a buy button followed by a sold out button if the artist is popular. With this release they are being allocated, and so inevitably people who registered on a whim, or who change their minds will pull out, such that a number of the prints become available again. This itself could give an impression that they are not shifting quickly, whereas for all you and I know, there may be a huge number of potential buyers.

Have you received confirmation that you were unsuccessful?  I may be wrong but I get the impression that nobody knows as yet if they have been allocated one or not.

Mehor. I was speaking of h4. Are you asking about h5? As of now nobody has been contacted regarding their success or failure of attaining a h5 series print.

They are just trawling for collectors to add to their client list base, the lifeblood of any art sales establishment.  Estate agents do it all the time by advertising houses that sold months ago.  You contact them, they offer to put you on their list should similar properties become available. 

The whole thing is a sham and makes Heni look very arrogant. They’re probably sat on a beach somewhere and will get round to enquiries when they get back next week after taking the whole of August off.
The best way to stop this behavior is to cancel orders and tell them where to stick their dibond.

I know quite a few people who were not offered one.
My favorite part of this thread is the attempt to devalue the work by everyone.

I know at least 7 or 8 people that didn’t. And that’s saying a lot because I don’t know a lot of people.
Maybe the people you know are just cooler than the people I know.

Really that many! I'm glad to have got one tbh. Value doesn't come into for me. I really like them.
