Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Happy Shopper on Oct 11, 2018 11:38:13 GMT 1, Sorry, my mistake. I chose TIMED delivery and the package arrived 20 mins early. I'll also add that the black wrap really doesn't add much protection (I added it as a dust guard). If anything was to damage the packaging the black wrap won't do anything to stop it. I'm struggling to understand why anyone would see "inherent value" in the crate full stop? Surely the crate is there to protect whats inside. Who cares if it gets knocked. If it's like the Richter editions, then the box/crate has the edition name and even your edition number screened onto it... so they're a bit like the COA and not something you throw away.

The crate is actually quite big....almost double the size of the artwork. Unless what you're referring two is actually inside the wooden box that's beneath the wrapping....?
It's way larger than I anticipated and too large to store conveniently. I'll send pics when I have them buy may not unwrap for a while.

Yes, you're right. Just took the black wrapping off the crate and the edition name and number is on it.
I don't know where I would put the crate though. Never envisioned holding onto something like this.

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by brinks on Oct 11, 2018 13:40:38 GMT 1, Been a hassle with Tate on the H5, issued payment on 13th and was emailed last Saturday saying my edition would be reallocated due to no payment... They finally tracked down my order and followed up to say the reason for the delay was that they misallocated payment to an invoice with a similar number which is why it was missed.
"We have received a very large number of payments in a very short space of time and unfortunately I made a mistake with yours."
I wouldn't take the "do not respond to this email if you have made payment" line as literally as I did.

Who cares if the crate gets scratched.

It’s not like a coa, even prints you buy sometimes have the edition numbers on the outside. This is for stock purposes. The crate is just to ship the thing, nothing more nothing less.

The crate is actually quite big....almost double the size of the artwork. Unless what you're referring two is actually inside the wooden box that's beneath the wrapping....? It's way larger than I anticipated and too large to store conveniently. I'll send pics when I have them buy may not unwrap for a while. I’m sorry but this is incorrect the box isn’t double the size of the artwork 130cm x103 cms otherwise I wouldn’t have got it in the back of my car

You can hardly cover the thing in bubble wrap and cardboard and simply send it like that. It would never get there in one piece.
