Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Poster Bob on Nov 1, 2018 14:15:21 GMT 1, H4 are guaranteed to sell for higher prices.
So the heni h4 etc are a better investment than the Tate releases ones with spots etc as an investment Might be... might not be! Spots may be more popular, as they're more classic Hirst.

Just because they are made in smaller numbers does not automatically mean they are worth more. Neither does messy splodges mean higher prices than spots.

Seems to me someone's heavily invested in H5 doing well....
It's clear the H4 series will have the upper hand over the H5, your whining isn't going to change that. You'll still make money on the H5 (albeit less), so no need to cry.
As others have mentioned, there are still H5s available while H4 has sold out. Secondary market prices so far for H5 are in the region of 4.1K while H4 are in the region of 6.5K. Both were the same price at launch, the market has spoken.

I also recommend signing up for the Serpentine Gallery, Tate and HENI newsletters.
Also if you fancy spot prints by Hirst then Paragon Press have just released a new lot.

You're as bad as poster bob. The market has not spoken. It is far too early for the market to 'speak' anything at all yet. All you are seeing is flippers making a quick buck. There is always a bit of a frenzy when things are originally released. Wait a year and then see what the secondary market is saying. There's no guarantees in the art world; not even for big names like Hirst. H4s and H5s may be worth just 2K in a few years time. I don't know and neither do you or Bob.

Yeah, I’ve never had contact with them. However, I would just email them explaining that you’re interested in purchasing a spot print and ask for a list of the available pieces. Galleries and publishers never tend to have decent websites.
Shame that Other Critera stopped selling prints. They had an excellent website with transparent pricing. Great staff too.

Are Paragon Press releasing this prints themselves or they just reselling like a gallery? I called them after your initial post and the sales guy stated they still had prints but the newest they had was from June/July. He was also very interested as to where I got my info. I gave my email address for them to send a price list but have recieved nothing so far. Will try again tomorrow...anyone else had any dealings with them?

Paragon Press are the publisher, interesting that they say that they haven’t got newer editions since they sent an email out saying they were showing new editions at IFPDA Print Fair which was in October. Unless they were referring to those ones.

Its quite confusing. Also funny that different people are told different things.
I didn't post the rest of the email but they ask you to fill out the forms again. If offered to the waiting list, why the need to reapply? They said that the ones left were only being offered to those on a waiting list already. Or, if you didn't get offered your initial quota you applied for. Its quite confusing. Also funny that different people are told different things.
