Most people are just seeing his work digitally/cropped and without needed context. Taking the street out of it is not in the best interest of banksy. There's no need for the instant gratification wait to see it in the street for maximum impact.
Every bit of the instagram verification is just promotion. Go back to signing things....PLEEEASE.
That's got to be the most valuable instagram password in existence.

It’s widely accepted that 23rd June 1968 was the date the French protests and riots of 1968 ended which resulted in a snap legislative election. It would be interesting to understand whether the locations of these new pieces were significant in these protests back then.

It was called the Campaign of Italy to go in Austria with his army. We know perfectly that Italy wants to stop now migrants ( extrem right government ) , and that french neonazis, fascists, have been up there ( on the col ) to stop migrants more than one month ago ! Very clever one by Banksy The red cape on the head could mean the shame , to this Propaganda against migrants. It could symbolize migrants too that have no way to go ..
I just saw a report on sky news where they were “herding” migrants around, most were fully wrapped in red blankets. I guess hiding their faces.

2 things : rats are more the 50 bday of may 68.
And the 3 others stencils more about migrants , now, problems, etc ..
as you I m trying to know who is this personnage : when we see the location it could be a waiter, at the period of surrealism then existentialism ( Sartre had glasses so it could not be !.), or, as the two other bigger stencils it could be to denounce a fascist one ( as the other stencils are against nationalism and imperialism ). A thing is sure , as it’s in le Quartier Latin, it’s obvioulidm ane intellectual and contest guy or event.
