Banksy sold for £1.5 Million at Lazarides Exhibition, by Unica on Jul 12, 2018 9:32:26 GMT 1, You may want to try Castle Gallery, I think they have access to a few. Then again CAT, Hang Up and Prescription Art seem to get them in as well from time to time.

Huh? Is that really the case?
I actually had the impression quite a few Banksy originals can be found at any given moment

Banksy sold for £1.5 Million at Lazarides Exhibition, by Briggs 74 on Jul 24, 2018 15:48:34 GMT 1, So I went to the Laz show on the weekend and don't think I'll be going to a banksy exhibit again! I was there with my two kids, who since birth have been attending exhibitions all over the world and have excellent museum etiquette, and got set upon by the facist security guard who basically told me that I would have to leave if I wasn't holding my kids hands the whole time (she was a dick) and started banging on about the artworks being very valuable, so I left straight away. I remember going to Laz before Laz was Laz (when they were above the dodgy bookshop on Charing Cross Road) and going to the first few Santas Ghettos so am well aware of the banksy market. The other thing it made me realise (and don't shoot me) was the fleeting effect of banksy's work - good for a few seconds and then a bit meh. Tbh my tastes have moved on a lot since then. Not sure what I'm trying to say here except if you're taking your kids there, be ready for an onslaught from the staff!

Banksy sold for £1.5 Million at Lazarides Exhibition, by moron on Jul 25, 2018 20:06:33 GMT 1, There is no proof that the price is nothing more than hype by Laz.
He seems more interested in the price these days than the actual art.
Any follow up on the great Banksy art heist (theft of a print) during the same show?

I’ve been to Laz shows. He just got lucky on the Banksy thing. Curatorially speaking, his shows are AWFUL. He can’t hang a show properly at all. That isn’t to say his advocation for other artists isn’t helpful, but he will never ever be a white cube Gallery or Gagosian. Never. Worst curated shows ever by Laz.

The fact that you are mentioning Whitecube and Gagosian - shows really more about your taste then it does about Laz as a curator. Love him or hate him, you can thank Laz for most of your collection, you would havent known about half of the artist if it wasnt for him some wouldn't have had anything to flip if it wasn't for Laz!!

Like I said, I am not playing down his advocation for street art. What I am slamming is his ability to curate a show properly. The shows he curated aren’t elevated. They’re pediestrian. I’ve seen enough images to know that they’re not very good. There is a reason why the curator world refuses to acknowledge that he exists. It isn’t the content, but how it’s presented.
Also there is this thing called google. It’s a powerful search engine that uses incredibly sophisticated algorithms for search queries. It’s how most people acquire knowledge these days. I am not thanking Laz for shit. No reason. Would have found on google eventually, Laz or no Laz.

Have you actually been to any of the exhibitions, or are you basing your opinion solely on images from the shows?

Maybe in times past but can't say these pretend exhibitions of B are anything but tasteless, sterile shite. In times past he had people around him he no longer has. It's just sterile and commercial now. Good luck to him in Mayfair.

I am not thanking Laz fors**t. No reason. Would have found on google eventually, Laz or no Laz. LOL so you have never been to a Laz show, you are basing your opinion on google.
How many Pictures On Walls prints/art have you ever bought or still own?

No, I have been to plenty of shows. I have dual citizenship and spent most of my time in the UK when the B shows were going on. They sucked then (again, in terms of curation) and they do now. There is a difference between trailblazing new territory and just beings**t. Tunnels, farm animals, barely legal... all hung poorly. That must be a reason/factor why Bs**t-canned him. He was doing things wrong. When you hear about B shows or Laz, it’s always about the dollar amount value of the show, not that it was curated well. When you start staging stunts like stolen Trolley hunters and charging admissions for shows, it just gets cheap and becomes a parody of an exhibition.
I own many POW prints. Hell, I’ve even got a few B paintings. That has no bearing on Laz not being able to curate his way out of a wet paper bag.

And you can thank Laz for the POW prints - he was one of the original co-founders/creators of it!!!

Banksy sold for £1.5 Million at Lazarides Exhibition, by moron on Aug 13, 2018 14:17:47 GMT 1, I'd take it with a pinch of salt personally. Maybe one of Laz investors bought it on paper.
Does Laz still sell those tacky souvenirs at his shows like he did in Turkey?
