I'm interested in a print but it has some staining on it.
How straight forward might this be to have removed? Is this a fairly straight forward task for a restorer?
I'm assuming it is based on a whole host of factors, including the type of substance that caused the stain.
Any help appreciated.

... if it is a water mark then it is inorganic ... if it is mold then it is organic and both would be treated quite differently ... not to mention stains from printers ink, pencil marks etc etc ... a restorer would be able to advise ...
... if you have a faile or bāst piece with stains on ... personally, I would leave them

If in the margin could mat out.
If in the image the use a restorer unless you can sweet talk the artist to restore. Fyi the Warhol foundation would not authenticate restored prints.
If want to try and remove the stain buy some charity shop pics for a couple of quid to practice with. Take your time
