This very question (along with its phrasing) betrays unfamiliarity and inexperience — whether that be with art history, the art world, or the art market. It also indicates a sense of personal taste that has yet to fully mature.

If we were talking about works with a nominal financial value, there'd be no issue. Being a bit reckless, experimental, and making silly — but non-consequential — mistakes along the way is part of every collector's journey.

But at the price levels you've referred to, there should be alarm bells ringing in your ears. Frankly, your spending power is out of sync with your knowledge. And that's worth being concerned about. When it comes to enthusiastic art acquisitions, following the example set by Victor Pinchuk is not a great idea.

My own advice would be for you to step back and refrain from making either purchase for the time being.

Instead, spend the next 12 or 24 months reading; watching art programmes and documentaries; attending lectures and panel discussions; speaking with artists, dealers and fellow art enthusiasts; proactively visiting more museums, galleries, auction houses, art fairs, artist studios and college degree shows. [See also this thread, for which the catalyst was an earlier post by Feral Things.]

Afterwards, you probably won't feel the need to ask the same question. And you'll be less tempted to rely upon the art preferences of strangers.

Both great artists. Kaws obviously better known worldwide but the idea that Miller is just big on this forum is genuinely crackers

Neither for a tenth of the price.

Kaws not for me even if it was free. Miller is ok from a distance ( about a mile away )

Both are very good. Just maybe the market for Kaws works is slightly more liquid. When you need some cash back or change your mind in the future, you get to resell easily.

Maybe I'm off but I would think at current pricing, a Kaws canvas will run you quite a bit more $$ than something from HM. Also echo that it completely depends on the specific piece by each artist...

Judging by their post history looks like the OP wants an ad disruption. I'd say that would be pretty evenly priced with a HM depending on image.

I agree with MET above though dont buy either yet, follow his advice.
