New Pejac drawing - Poem, by gd79 on Sept 23, 2018 8:22:54 GMT 1, You're all treading on very dangerous ground...
No chance of getting a hand finished variant of the next print at this rate. Spoiler alert, it'll be very worthy, very lovely and show something like waves turning into dead fish bones).

New Pejac drawing - Poem, by sircoxson on Sept 23, 2018 9:54:31 GMT 1, Be careful. The disciples of Pejac are watching. Last time I called out the artist for their pricing not matching their credentials, overpriced BTW, I was challenged. Just look at linea or any pejac print, are any even worth 1800? What established gallery or institution could ever hang any of those images in the future?ย Now is the right time to sell, and good for the people who do.ย 4K per print for an artist with so little accomplished is just sad. Sorry for people being tricked, and happy for people who keep on buying at cost.ย
please wake me up when you got something new on your agenda. itโs really boring, mate...

I don't know how to judge the pricing, etc. An artist sets his price (primary market), we all set ours (secondary market). I only believe that the liquidity makes the market.
As for his "credentials": It only matters for the ones that needs some to comfort their taste or portfolio value. The definition of artist support shift a lot nowadays. From exhibitions, to galleries, news coverage, instagram, forums...

And you are right, I don't collect artists based on their accomplishments. But when art I don't trust is expensive, I question that.
Also I have a feeling the majority of pejac collectors are not art educated to be able to make a call for themselves.
How is pejac relevant today in any way? please answer that someone. Or is this max person everyone keeps referencing to (on this forum) the new Perrotin and i missed something?

New Pejac drawing - Poem, by pada1 on Sept 23, 2018 14:59:27 GMT 1, Pejac has been relevant to me from day 1 (few years ago) as I find his Art surprising and disrupting. I also like his mediums. Many would say "another stencil artist".... we'll he doesn't use stencil, so he is more a painter than a "graffer".
Max (from Suben Art Management) is representing Pejac, i.e. he is organising exhibition, sales and organise his official communication (ex: newsletter, etc.).

New Pejac drawing - Poem, by alinoe on Sept 23, 2018 15:55:54 GMT 1, Said it before, but I own my Pejacs because I like them and they give me enjoyment hanging on the wall. I own Linea and A Forest, and I'd be delighted if the prices fall to near nothing, because I can't really afford any of his second hand pieces today.

More recently I have passed on a few chances to take his prints on the secondary market because I can't help thinking the sharp increases in the prices of Pejac's prints over a relatively short period of time bears some resemblance to the upturn in the prices of Micallef prints. We all know what has happened to the price of Micallef prints since.

X2 ...
It's especially hard buying into the current pricing and hype being in the states..
Love the work.. but to justify resell? Not for me at this point.. and I think we've seen a slight dip since directly after last show.. I hope he has a great career, and I'd love to eventually get a piece.. BUT... we also can't be fooled when a few hundred people create a market and future for a very, very talented, but honestly unproven artist

New Pejac drawing - Poem, by Express Post on Sept 25, 2018 15:03:36 GMT 1, Does he still practice painting on walls, or has he been confined to the studio?
Would like to see more paintings on canvas, not drawings on paper. Maybe the last show was the exception.

New Pejac drawing - Poem, by witchdoctor on Sept 25, 2018 22:45:30 GMT 1, Well, how is Pejac relevant today. I am not in any way competent to answer that question. I have no art education. I don`t have any Picassos. I have no extremely rich friends who can guide me to what the invided big collectors find relevant art at the moment.
Just another normal day. Having friends for dinner. The girl is taking a good look at the Meadow. Looking at the well drawn cornfield fading out in the white passepartout and the wodden frame. Can`t see the arrows off course, nobody of my friends does. The first time. I dont mind mentioning it, knowing she will find them one day. If she comes back. They newer leave without giving it another good look.
After they leave I take 5 minutes to study the Stag myself. So beatifull. So proud. So alive, like I have been lucky to see them out in the forrest myself a few memorable times. But so alone. And the eyes. Looking straight at me...
Quite a good question by the way. What is relevant art? What is relevant at all in the long term...

New Pejac drawing - Poem, by galaxy01 on Oct 1, 2018 15:24:45 GMT 1, How is pejac relevant today in any way? please answer that someone. Quite easy, his work is always an expression of the destruction to the planet, or how we are so absorbed in things we forget to appreciate it. Look at any work and those messages are in there, and are relevant to every day issues we currently have.
Wound - oil leaks in the sea Forest - Air pollution Heavy Sea - waste in the seas Linea - Deforestation Meadow - Over hunting (this is not quite as strong an issue as we need to do some and most is not for sport)
His work is very topical and packs powerful messages which is why I love it. I may be selling mine at the moment, but I shot way above my weight for my budget due to my love for his work, but one day wish to own a Seppuku and Wound again.

Look at any work and those messages are in there, and are relevant to every day issues we currently have. Wound - oil leaks in the sea Forest - Air pollution Heavy Sea - waste in the seas Linea - Deforestation Meadow - Over hunting (this is not quite as strong an issue as we need to do some and most is not for sport) His work is very topical and packs powerful messages which is why I love it. I may be selling mine at the moment, but I shot way above my weight for my budget due to my love for his work, but one day wish to own a Seppuku and Wound again. I think he is using heavy sea as an "ocean" of tires to illustrate the giant tire dumps such as the one in Sulabiya, Kuwait.
How is pejac relevant today in any way? please answer that someone. Quite easy, his work is always an expression of the destruction to the planet, or how we are so absorbed in things we forget to appreciate it. Don't think Meadow needs to be taken literally. The deer can also represent nature in general. Seems more likely to me.
