Don't let those fire emojis and exclamations of "DOPE!" get to your head. This is cliche tripe and if you continue down this path you'll soon be selling toy sculptures in the vein of Ecce Homo. Now, for the good part. It just so happens that PosterBOB Management is taking on clients! If you were represented by us we would have told you to cleanse these instantly forgotten, unoriginal pieces with fire. You also need to immediately cease from rehashing your Fencer and Spot Remover works. Don't become the next Nick Walker! Think about your future; you need someone to make decisions for you and to ensure that your ego doesn't get inflated by your number of Instagram followers. We can keep you grounded.

Not quite sure what releasing this image has to do with supposedly getting carried away by fire emojis and "dope" comments. Most likely an image not to make it into history books but certainly something which can find a place in many peoples hearts. Maybe should have stayed to my initial intention to just do the one for my nieces birthday but from the respond I got so many people like the image that I doubt releasing an edition will do any harm to anyone. Agree that rehashing Fencers and Spot Removers makes no sense as such but the pieces done where for place my art hasn't been on show yet and the variations done came out of a flow which is always good from a personal artist perspective. Thought it might look a bit dull on Instagram when these images pop up again, the world is slightly bigger than this forum and my social media. I'm pretty sure those with a better insight into the art world are aware of that. From a marketing perspective you are absolutely right though. Not really the kind of guy though who's driven by what's best for the career or what people might think but more what I can personally relate to and what comes out of that. Anyhow, appreciate loads that you got a fair bit more precise with your comment instead of repeating the IKEA stuff over and over again.

It really comes down to the target groups one wishes to focus on while selling home décor. And pricing too, of course. When pitched at a level suited for all budgets, there has always been a huge market for this type of product.

To anybody who missed out on yesterday's release, fret not. Alternative options remain available. Among those I found online, here's what caught my eye:


1.  At $9.90 (or equivalent in other currencies), the print below is competitively priced on Etsy. Granted, it isn't as colourful or as large as the Kunstrasen canvases. Same idea nonetheless. And same sentiment.

These are all printed on pages taken from a salvaged, vintage Encyclopædia Britannica. Each piece thereby becomes a unique artwork.

The reclaimed nature of the substrate provides added appeal. We used to call this style "craft fair" in my day. Increasingly, however, the more contemporary term has become "urban".



2.  Hanging stuff on a wall at home is fine, but consider the advantage of apparel:

Besides "When I grow up I want to be Me", note there's also another t-shirt for sale that reads, "Allow your Love to be stronger than your Fear". Different, yet equally uplifting.

Having to choose between those two designs could be tricky. But then, some UAA members might even buy one of each. How crazy-brilliant would that be? Proper hardcore.

It's this devil-may-care attitude which makes the forum so great. I myself have been known to go wild on occasion. Just last April, I polished off a whole tube of Pringles in one go. And sometimes I jaywalk when there's no traffic. To stick it to the Man.

Many of you may be oblivious as well of the fact there's an absolute legend within our ranks. Although different versions of the story exist, the most reliable one I heard is the following (username withheld to protect the guilty):

A few years ago, this particular member was in his car listening to the radio. Not even driving like everyone else would be. He was simply sitting there, rebellious, in a parking lot — windows rolled down and everything. At one point, Urgent by the band Foreigner started playing on the radio. Apparently, this was the moment when he cranked the volume dial all the way up to '8'.


Now that is the kind of fuck-you, graffiti spirit we need to keep alive here. It's the reason I'm always coming back to this place.
