I've seen prints literally double in price on certain websites, from what they were asking a few months ago... but they hadn't sold them then, so I doubt they'll sell them now!

Also - The Artnet 'Urban Auction' running Sept 13-27 us using a PTP as the cover photo. Not sure if they'll have other Kaws.

When you add the low supply in with a growing fan base with all the open editions, uniqlo clothes and his big show in Texas last year you have a lot of new folks entering the market and rising prices.
Lastly which is probably over looked is he also has new representation from gallery perrotin which has I'm sure brought an entire new subset of rich collectors.
Harder to say with prints as there aren't as many results to go by but if you look at his originals market he is getting very strong results. Certainly be patient and dont pay those crazy Ebay prices but prices are def rising and for good reason imo.

Ya I don't think you can look at it that way - though I get your point. If you have a single 'No Reply' print you don't have 1/4000, its still 1/100 which is an entirely different story. Also we have seen very few portfolios get split up and I don't think that's going to change. Even when the sets get split the individual print price sky rockets which results in a various opinion of 'affordable'. |

What other Kaws print are you selling if you don't mind me asking? As a seller of a different Kaws prints, it astounded me the number of 'How low will you go?', 'Is that your best price?' I received, as if to suggest that the Kaws market had turned, and they wouldn't be able to sell. I quickly showed those people the door. If you want one in today's market, you are going to have to pay the ask, regardless of what historical data you can put together. Zero room for haggling if it is mint and has never been framed. If it has been framed before, then you might be able to negotiate on the tape wear and tear.
