Is anyone familiar with the (Dutch/Belgium?) artist Luc Verschuuren?
I accidentally found some work of him that instantly reminds me of DFace (not saying he's a copycat). Compared to D*face Mr. Verschuuren's work looks quite boring to me, but I was wondering if someone knows his work...

I love D*Face's work so there is something that attracts me to this Verschuuren painting, just wondering if anyone knows something about him.

Luc Verschuuren vs D*Face, by art4all on Sept 5, 2018 0:34:04 GMT 1, Luc Verschuuren is a comic/illustrator from the Netherlands. He got influenced by the comic culture when he studied in Antwerp. Belgium had at that time already a rich comic culture. He is applying the technique of the "klare lijn" (English "Clear Line" style). Other comic/illustrator artist with similar style from Belgium, France and the Netherlands are Hergé, Tardi, Joost Swarte, Ever Meulen, Edgar P. Jacobs, Jacques Martin, Jan Vander Veken, ...
He also paints popart style paintings (based on comics) and as far as I know he is still active as artist and illustrator + owns a gallery in the Netherlands. You can reach him via lejverschuuren@home.nl

Thanks for sharing Now will someone post the extent of images Lichtenstein used (that weren't his) before D*Face. Obviously D*Face is just following in the same steps as Lichtenstein but he takes it a step further. |
