At the time, I asked if they had any ability to get it personally signed before it sent out to me. When it didn't come for several months, I emailed asking for a status update, and they said they were trying to get a signature and it would take some time.
I realize getting a signature was going to take some time so I was patient. However, 5 months after I ordered it, I emailed again in March 2019 asking for a status after not receiving the book yet. They said that they were still trying to get it signed, but if I was in a hurry that they could send it out within a week. As I was in no rush, I appreciated the status update and replied I would wait.
When it started approaching a year of waiting, I emailed again in August. Usually they replied within 24 hours. This time there was no reply. A month later, (a couple of days ago) I emailed again to get in contact. But this time, mentioning that I'd rather have the book and would like it sent out. Again no reply.
Is this standard behavior? or am I getting ignored now? Usually they replied back quite quickly. And I'm also seeing that they have the book for sale on their big cartel site (costing significantly more). What's my recourse here?

I think the best is to write on your Instagram or facebook, in public. Usually they โ move โ and answer when they see that it is in public. You even can quote them here, they are.
Anyway people criticize flippers on eBay etc .. but when I see that established edition houses sell this book at 120 euros itโs a scandal.
You could write to Invader or Orbi also ( telling that that they promised fake news, and I you pay with PayPal you have 2 years I guess to make a claim - or to your bank ).
Anyway how could they promise that ?! Itโs scandalous. I know the translator of the book, he had plenty but not sure now

Thanks for posting that, i remember when they had both the hong kong and miami book in stock and never ordered them before so i guess they found a few more.
