Martin Whatson tagged WW1 Helmet, by jamo on Oct 26, 2018 16:27:42 GMT 1, Ahead of the 100 year anniversary of the Armistice, I will be auctioning this beautiful, original French Adrian helmet from 1915, which has been tagged by Martin Whatson. Full proceeds will be going to the Royal British Legion poppy appeal. If you would like to make a bid, please search a well-known on-line auction site under โMartin Whatson helmetโ.
Thank you to Martin for tagging the piece in September whilst at Graffiti Prints, and for Giancarlo who arranged things.
I have donated the helmet, which has a very poignant story and is 103 years old. It is signed inside and, of course, comes with full provenance and is 100% endors3d by Martin and GP.
Thank you, peace.

Martin Whatson tagged WW1 Helmet, by sfnyc on Oct 28, 2018 6:55:02 GMT 1, What's the "poignant" story?
I find this a bit disturbing, almost wrong... even though it's an original initiativefor a good cause... But maybe there s a story here I'm missing?

This is the kind of post that reminds me why I mostly steer clear of this site. Too much negativity. But in case you were wondering, the helmet was picked up on a trip to the Somme with my father a few years before he was diagnosed with Alzheimerโs. There. Happy?
And for those out there who arenโt haters and negativity merchants, thank you for the support. It looks like a lot of money will be raised for a very good cause.

Awww if you can't handle a polite question about someone that does not see things like you, maybe indeed you should keep your art projects to yourself and stay away from the internet and any public interactions
