Any good framer at Cardiff (or Newport)?, by cogitobcn on Nov 7, 2018 23:07:27 GMT 1, Does someone know a good framer in South Wales? preferably at Cardiff?
I need to float mount a Pejac's Linea in conservation/museum standard and I've no idea where to start. I've googled about but none of the 3 or 4 frames in Cardiff make any reference to the quality standard or floating mounts.

ive just had mine done by mr frameman he’s not in Cardiff but he uses a specialist courier for the collection and return. He didn’t recommend float mounting so I had it framed to the edge with spacers. He done a very good job. Looks amazing.

Quinn, why he didn't recommend float mount? I thought that precisely with Linea (being the lenticular a lot stiffer than a print) would be easier.
I would love to see your result, did you upload an image to the "show your latest art buy" thread or anywhere?

I would love to see your result, did you upload an image to the "show your latest art buy" thread or anywhere? I can't remember for sure but I think it was because of the weight of the lenticular. It's quite heavy so more chance of slipping. I haven't taken any photos yet I'll post some up soon. |
