User Error - typically varnish is applied to a print to enhance the vibrancy of colors, making brights/lights brighter and darks/shadow darker. It also helps reduce glare.

The shipping tube was too small, leaving only a few cm of room for the print, which apparently was bent when the end cap was added. In addition, I was surprised to see that only a thin sheet of acid free paper was used to protect the print, and for mine, it look like it was a left over, torn piece.
It wasn't an overly expensive piece, but I'm surprised at the lack of care in shipping.
For anyone else that purchased, were there any similar issues? I of course plan on reaching out to CM Walter (who was very responsive during the sale), but wanted to see if this was a widespread or one-off issue.

All should be sorted. Very lovely print. The texture of the paper really adds to the the supposed depth of an original. |

For me, they did respond and ask that I send them a few things - after sharing pictures of the damage, they asked that I cut out the signature, the print number and a piece of the image itself and send it to them along with the COA. I've done so am waiting for them to receive that, then send a new print.

Indeed, Paco Pomet's work is rather distinctive.
I am a fan of the artist's pared-down, often-monochromatic palette.
Likewise with his choices of imagery:
- frequent references or allusions to bygone days;
- thoughtful explorations of the surreal, the uncanny, the absurd; and
- an embrace of whimsy and humour.
It is perhaps the latter, knowingly playful nature of Pomet's art that I appreciate most.
There is always more fun to be had when we retain our sense of playfulness.
