Framed Art - Storage Question, by Henry Dunger on Nov 11, 2018 13:31:04 GMT 1, Hi
I'm relocating to Tokyo for at least the next three years and for various reasons have decided to leave a fairly large art collection behind in London.
My company will pay for standard domestic storage in the UK = which by the looks of it is an airtightish container but without any type of temperature control.
I've got 30-40 pieces ranging from Banksy prints through to some pretty originals on wood and canvas.
Reluctant to take the risk with a standard storage arrangement but equally hesitant about what i imagine is the colossal cost of specialist storage for 3 years.
Been through the old storage threads with little success. Anyone out there, have any advice ?
Cheers

Many ordinary storage places in London are way too humid. Don’t leave your art there!!!

Agree with Chris - you can never be too careful about storing art. Especially for so long you should find something that is dark, temp controlled, and specifically not humid. You might try a search for a storage facility that also specializes in storing fine wines.
