US artist Ron English has vowed to whitewash an artwork by Banksy that he bought for $730,000, in protest of the market in street art.
The piece in question, titled "Slave Labour," depicts a young child on his knees by a sewing machine as he produces Union Jack bunting. It was painted on the outside wall of a bargain shop in north London in 2012 but was removed from the wall months later, before resurfacing at auction in Miami.

I like Ron English's art and style but as a person he comes across as not being all there.
The fact that he went to Dubai and probably got paid loads of money to paint his art in a street and also the fact that he markets himself via his street art as do most street artists shows a bit of hypocrisy.
One other thing that put me off English as a person is his recent crowdfunder where he pleaded poverty hoping to raise 30K so that he could vanity produce some music cd. When all the while he had 700K kicking about that he bought a bit of wall with a sprayed stencil on it.
