Fury v. Wilder in LA Dec 1st, by Fast Eddie on Nov 21, 2018 20:03:56 GMT 1, Not sure how many Tyson Fury's fans are out here. Or Wilder's. But I have always been a boxing fan and I am excited about heavyweights once again. As usual in this sport, one has to make the effort to separate the personal flaws of character from the guts and artistry in the ring. Tyson Fury is an awkward stylist, gifted and crafty, but I am afraid the time of reckoning against brute force has arrived.

Fury v. Wilder in LA Dec 1st, by Fast Eddie on Nov 22, 2018 20:37:24 GMT 1, That is a fairly likely scenario. Especially if Wilder hasn't prepared against a true boxer in sparring.
Fury however had to cut short his training at Bear Mountain. Altitude training was too taxing for him, which worries me in terms of his conditioning and staying power. Wilder is a monster athlete and could kill him in the 7th-8th round.
UK boxing will do great anyway, as the winner will face AJ.

Fury v. Wilder in LA Dec 1st, by iamzero on Nov 22, 2018 21:58:40 GMT 1, Wilder I think has been foolish in dodging AJ for so long. I can see that heโs scared about losing that belt but the truth is he had a better chance of beating Joshua 12/18 months ago while he was still not as ring wise. Far harder now heโs getting stronger and a more knowledgeable boxer.

Fury v. Wilder in LA Dec 1st, by Fast Eddie on Nov 23, 2018 17:00:29 GMT 1, In my opinion Wilder needed the Ortiz fight first, but I agree AJ has made great steps forward and is more dangerous now.
The better boxer in terms of technique and fundamentals remains Fury. The other two are an order of magnitude better in terms of conditioning. At heavyweigth that may not mean Fury will be KO.

Fury v. Wilder in LA Dec 1st, by Fast Eddie on Nov 23, 2018 18:16:01 GMT 1, It is. Fury was chronically depressed and suicidal. Yet he came back from the brink. Wilder has also a compelling life story. He gave up football and started boxing at 19, to care for his daughter who is affected by an illness.

Fury v. Wilder in LA Dec 1st, by Fast Eddie on Dec 2, 2018 9:02:19 GMT 1, Fury is a master of his craft. But he got knocked down. Twice. So we may need to consider that. Beautiful technique though and Tyson is back now.

Fury v. Wilder in LA Dec 1st, by Carl Cashman on Dec 2, 2018 16:44:05 GMT 1, Fury is a master of his craft. But he got knocked down. Twice. So we may need to consider that. Beautiful technique though and Tyson is back now. I thought the first was a fall, but was surprised he got up from the 2nd !. Wilders whole thing is his knock out punch, he goes into the rematch now knowing his only trick might not work.
Fury will be 10% fitter too, I really hope he wins so that AJ can't dodge that fight due to mandatory challenges.

Fury v. Wilder in LA Dec 1st, by Fast Eddie on Dec 3, 2018 0:07:11 GMT 1, Fury gave one of the classiest press conferences. Being almost put to sleep by a punch instils a certain sense of reciprocal respect.
