Depending if one has the broken pieces or not does not make a lot of difference.
The vinyl looks like it is pigmented black rather than sprayed black after?
Looking at the photos the original vinyl cast looks very bad quality being very thin in some parts and thick in others.
Ceramic restorers today use all sorts of new materials to make invisible repairs. You could try asking one of those people and maybe they know someone who knows about vinyl.
