The batteries will be excluded from the weighting but they were inside the boat while floating. They were most likely acid-lead batteries and a 7volts battery of that type weights on average 1495g, while a 12volts battery 2050g. Guessing the right one is not easy. Plus Banksy's measurements of the boat should read length 90, width 42, and height 38cm. Yes, I wasted way too much time on this. Lovely. Under 3 kilos would be my answer

They were most likely acid-lead batteries and a 7volts battery of that type weights on average 1495g, while a 12volts battery 2050g. Guessing the right one is not easy. Plus Banksy's measurements of the boat should read length 90, width 42, and height 38cm. Yes, I wasted way too much time on this. Lovely. Under 3 kilos would be my answer of course ! |

Also, I have seen some wildly inaccurate estimates on this thread, which reassures me that I am really dealing with people mostly into art.

You don't need to worry about the weight of the battery because it is not included in the guess-the-weight raffle. markiemark, you do need to worry because the most accurate way of weighting that damn thing is by measuring water displacement in terms of volume. You can do that from the multiple photos and videos online. Then you need to subtract the weight of the battery pack. So that will be a huge stroke of luck!
