When dismaland opened this was just another object in the park. Now it's a 100k original. So what changed?
I honestly cannot figure out what your point is.
Is it the word "sculpture"? Is it the completely arbitrary and pointless $100k value?
Like the description on the Choose Love website, I saw it as a "piece of art" then as I do now.

It's still valuable I guess but it's not a genuine piece of art by the artist.

Itโs his concept/design whether you like it or not. I make things for designers on a daily basis. It doesnโt mean I own or give a toss what they do with it after itโs been made. As long as Iโve been paid then itโs all good. Thereโs a dface doormat for sale at stolenspace at the moment but Iโm pretty sure he didnโt weave it himself. Relax and enjoy it for what it is. A bloody dark subject and a beutifuly haunting piece. Or a toy for kids that will freak them out on Christmas Day.

I think it's pretty clear how people are responding.
You may be close with the memrobilia angle though. But I think a better comparison would be if you took a place setting from the dinner party or an individual gate from the The gates project and starting touting it as it's own individual work.
