That's what I meant , people thought would be an easy flip as of past work but unaware of the edition size until now.
Some people will be pulled in by high prices and think they've found the next banksy , this probably could be found for coat or below in a few months.

I paid just to get the miniprint. Nice heft, same image and easier to frame without depressing the whole room.

"not-so-limited" editions.
The key is that ANYONE can get one if they choose to do so! Had the price been half, the run would have most likely doubled or tripled IMO. So in the end, we got a "smaller" run, but payed a bit more for it. As they say, six of one, or a half dozen of another...same same!

Personally I don't care what the Edition size is--
Remember Ai Wei Wei's Artist Hand. I think that was $675 US for an Edition of 1,000 (Not Hand Signed). Sold on the secondary market for $3-5,000-US. I was kicking myself for not buying more than one of those, and people hated on that too. Probably same people selling multiples.
This is my first Pejac- and I'm thrilled to get it! I think it's a great conversation piece like my Space Waffle- Everyone is like WTF is that? I'm not looking to sell mine, but I'm not too worried about my investment either.

Assuming the numbering was sequential and some people ordered multiples and also another 25 or so last min orders, I figured it would be around 450-500- Unless Multiple orders got cancelled in which case I feel the number would be about 75-100 lower. Personally I don't care what the Edition size is-- Remember Ai Wei Wei's Artist Hand. I think that was $675 US for an Edition of 1,000 (Not Hand Signed). Sold on the secondary market for $3-5,000-US. I was kicking myself for not buying more than one of those, and people hated on that too. Probably same people selling multiples. This is my first Pejac- and I'm thrilled to get it! I think it's a great conversation piece like my Space Waffle- Everyone is like WTF is that? I'm not looking to sell mine, but I'm not too worried about my investment either. Score +1 @ HighFlyer |

IMO it was nowhere near a "bargain" unless you're used to overpaying for things. The only reason people think it's a bargain is because surprisingly people are paying ungodly sums for his previous prints and who even knows if those sale prices are for real. There are few bargains these days unless you find prints $500 or less from highly established artists who are shown worldwide in reputable institutions.
