Pejac - Love Letter, by warwolf on Feb 5, 2019 0:37:36 GMT 1, Sorry, lost the context there, the point I was trying to make is with so much interest in the artist, I'm just surprised there my seems to be little appetite for a discussion as to why his market has appeared to have softened over the last few months.

Save your 5k and add to it and try and get an OG in coming show or chase the attainable.

unfortunately for them won't happen... He's gonna need multiple shows in the US to gain traction here. Dropped a beautiful street piece that got basically 0 attention, very little action on prints on our sales forums/eBay/etc..
Bottom line is imho management is hurting him with the "help my VIPs" stuff. Need to not presell anything and build a following. Prices are also already insane for originals imho. Look great, but he's just plain not worth those prices. And if we're honest print prices haven't moved barely at all in a year or two
Like stated before... Another Micaleff situation. The bubble is boiling

Pejac - Love Letter, by wottagunn on Feb 5, 2019 2:48:49 GMT 1, It generally happens after open/timed editions as most people were able to get the hands on some of the artists work. If it were a normal limited run people would be chasing them down id imagine. Happens with all artists.
Who knows. I see them holding or going back up upon the announcement of his show, or a new print etc, but I don't care what happens really.
I do honestly think though that his original pricing is a tad on the high side, and I would like to see more sales to those not in the VIP group. But again, it's not the end of the world.

Thats like saying the jiffy bag is torn, i don't want it. I am pretty sure you have seen the video. Everything is done with perfection. There are elements on the box as well like the edition size. I'd rather have a product in pristine condition when I buy it directly from the one who produced it.

Pejac - Love Letter, by kuni on Feb 5, 2019 15:22:32 GMT 1, The artist knew full well that the box would be roughed up in transit, and perhaps intended for it to arrive in less than pristine condition with wounds and bruises. Otherwise he would have just thrown another cardboard box around it. To truly love, one must accept imperfection...
...or maybe he just didn't want to spring for an extra layer of packaging.

Pejac - Love Letter, by pada1 on Feb 5, 2019 15:24:08 GMT 1, The box is definitely a keeper and not a traceable packaging. Wasn't it well packed with foam like Desprestigio?
On the original pricing topic, he sold out his previous exhibition almost instantly, so I guess they were doing ok. It's probably a big part of his base collectors, but that's a good starting point. I don't remember in which post it was mentioned, but their current strategy is to go slow. Maybe we will see a turning point in 2019.

If it was an "Extra" he had added after the timed release, maybe it wouldn't be a legitimate complaint, but he used this as a sales tactic.

I hear ya, I just don't see how it could have been viewed as anything other than an 'extra'. He didn't post about it until the last few hours of the sale. But I also posted saying I didn't think anyone (who wasn't already purchasing) would be enticed to buy because of a bird stencil. Guess, I was wrong. Of course it'd be ideal if it arrived in perfect condition but I don't think its a legitimate argument to not receiving what you purchased.
