But the bigger issue is that it is a fake...
Sorry but the side belt flaps should not be straight, they should be slightly hinged up.
Also the blue buttons are too dark, should be a lighter blue.

But we need to see pics of the back of the stormtrooper and of course of the backside of the box to come up with a final assumption. Condition looks amazing though. |

But on this one the straight belt flaps is enough to say its fake, the blue buttons is a double confirmation. 1 because the color is off and 2 because its a messy job, u can see the paint spilled onto the body. The real ones only paint the top half of the button.

We definitely should do that since these are getting more and more expensive.
I have seen a couple of 100% legit stormtroopers with slight painting issues, guess this happens with toys made 10 years ago in China.
But the major points is that it hast straight belt flaps and you will not find this at the original versions (you canโt move them). Therefore, this particular stormtrooper listed here is FAKE.

Try searching on the Kaws thread on the kidrobot forum or the Kaws Buy/Sell Facebook group.
There's a reluctance to be too vocal about all the differences though as it would help the people who make these fakes to improve them!

I personally wouldn't touch one of the star wars figures now. They're honestly just too close now to the original ones. Unless you're buying from a friend or someone with 100% solid providence then I would stay away. These were hard enough to sort out 4 years ago, and auction sites can't even tell the difference, loads of the boba fett fakes sold with very minimal differences.
Maybe an OE someday, but doubtful due to these already being about the size of current OE's.

I like to look at the totality of the factors and 2 red flags is almost always a fake.
