The biggest issue will be provenance which others have mentioned. I wouldn't worry about the signature all that much (although a period-correct sig could bump this into a higher price range), as many pieces from this era were sold unsigned.
My recommendation: contract Fairey and have him authenticate the work. He is one of my heros because he has remained so unbelievably assessable to fans. He's personally authenticated and signed dozens of works like this for me over the years and I bet he'd be delighted to see something this rare surface.
Without some sort of authenticity paperwork directly from Fairey or the obey team it's essentially worthless and if you can't get that paperwork or a concrete answer about authenticity it would be unethical to sell. Either way, if YOU know it's authentic then hold on tight as any wallpaper obey is a once in a lifetime aquasition.

It's a hand sprayed early 1990's Andre the Giant on wallpaper. Its not signed, a few were given to my friend in 1992/3 by a good friend of Fairey when they went to RITC. Posting photo shortly.

Not an expert on these at all, but although the stencils look comparably amateurish (given the era), the one above is still a 2 layer stencil vs the OP's 1 layer

I wouldn't rely on that alone though. Fairey, up to around 2000, has a lot of inconsistency and variation in signing, paper used, etc. There is a lot of 'weird and wonderful' from the 90's days.
Source: me, who wrote a decent chunk of the Fairey print and fine art wiki over at thegiant.org back in the day.
Not saying this is fake or real, and for the price it could/would command would want way more definitive. Hell, Shepard has been known to go back and sign things that went out unsigned originally (though if I remember correctly, he began to curtail that due to concerns that the pieces originally got out into the market through less-than-honorable means).
Starting by emailing Obey might be a good first step.

I met him in LA at the Invader show, and even though he was obviously tired of people saying hi all night & asking for photos, he was still good enough to have a chat & has excellent recall of his pieces and dates. I mentioned to him about Melbourne and a club here he did called Revolver; total recall. (And he was still good enough to have a photo with me)
A guy I lined up with for an Invader release said the same thing - he has taken things to him, and he just *knows* the dates and signs them accordingly. This is a great story and a really positive update - thanks for sharing.

For these instances of backdating, you can check the above Fairey signature guide. I forget who originally made it (I think it was either Submit or Robotoil over at thegiant.org forum) and it hasn't been updated in a long time, but it is useful IMO.
