This guy has got to get his pieces in some major NYC galleries or auctions houses ASAP. I'm calling this artist a total bust if he and his management team do not get their act together very soon. Unbelievable talent who seems horribly managed. He's becoming just another UAA bubble hype artist. how do you know being a registered member only for a couple of days? It's pretty obvious mate

Time is key. Good art management is not releasing artworks every other day or useless news every week. Less is sometime more.

If you are going to honour the man create a unique work in his name, don't use the opportunity to promote an old piece (for an upcoming show) that simply ties into the conversation...I love the work, just don't think this is the time for self promotion.

I see your point but I don't know if that is the intention. TBH I don't see the commercial side of the post, especially considering that the show has been cancelled. IMO the post is almost an invitation to start a riot against "the powers".
Then, the artwork itself looks to me quite on-point and part of the his repertory when it comes to social commentary. Reality is that the theme he feels closer are extremely contemporary which makes them adaptable to many headline news, like in this case. But again I don't necessary see the commercial side. Think about, he could have done other dozen of times for eg. with Greta Thunberg to promote many other pieces... I may be naive but I like to think that was a news that shaked him - as many of us. Still IMO a figurative artist like him (and of course a few others) are the ones that are leaving a big artistic patrimony to the next generations...

I see that point of view and will never know his intention. Personally, I just find it distasteful. I say this as a fan and collector of his work. The caption alone "#justiceforgeorgeflloyd #pejac" is cringe-worthy to me and does seem very commercial. Ensuring his name appears beside a hashtag for worldwide outcry doesn't sit right with me. If there was ever a time to not make something about yourself, than this is it. Leave the branding to the side to let your solidarity shine. Imagine Nike posted "#untilweallwin #nike"?

€75 shipping to "rest of world", making a €95 investment.
That's wild.

I don’t deny that; I haven’t formed a view as to whether it’s the “vast majority”. But that’s not what you said. Perhaps I should have said don’t tar “me” with the same brush. But there are plenty of others that I chat with on here who are not “money hungry”, so I didn’t.

Pejac Instagram, by Coach on Feb 24, 2022 14:58:38 GMT 1, Harry Connisco Dualism - 2019 Is this just a coincidence? Or is Pejac a blatant plagiarist?
I like Harry very much. I like his attitude, care for his fans, and I like his work. I proudly display two of his sculptures. Nonetheless I suspect that this is a coincidence. I suspect that two artists have independently conceived of similar ideas. It happens. And Pejac always struck me as an artist of integrity, who is well capable of, and does, come up with his own intelligent ideas.

Pejac's soldiers, in a circular trench, appear to be all on the same side, yet fighting each other, which is a nicer idea IMO.

€20 for a lottery ticket is fine. I think it's great that it goes to charity.
€75 for "shipping" is not. Hey, maybe it actually costs that, but at twice as much for an Australian vs. A continent dweller, I don't enjoy paying €95 for a lottery ticket I won't win.

I'm not even sure why you have to buy a lottery ticket. There's loads of other artists who release prints under a lottery system and you can apply for free. You simply send them your e-mail address and that's it, you're in. How come these artists and shops associated with them don't have a network of other shops to send a box of prints to to distribute from each continent? "Oh look, the entire box of North American mini-prints ships to NYC for the price of one single mini-print and they get individually distributed from there..."
Also, why not try charging 100 Euros for the lottery ticket and picking winners who get the print for free? I bet you would make the same amount of money (or figure the math from the last lottery and raise the ticket price to cover the 270k Euro from the print sale - i.e. 2,000 tickets at 150 Euro = 300,000 Euro).

You simply send them your e-mail address and that's it, you're in. it’s a way 2 make thousands of pounds from an easily printed postcard b4 there’s even a print 2 b had, it’s a scam imo, just like asking 100£ to ship something, it’s bs…. if u think this is what any artist or gallery actually pays when shipping ur wrong…. but after 100 different orders on 100 print edition, they get 2 add up that 10,20,50£ they overcharged u, and it’s pure profit…. oldest trick in the book, they used it during the early days of ebay n other online selling platforms…. fees were based on sale price, not shipping, so if u sold a 100$ chair but charged 10$ for it then 90$ shipping, u were only charged fees on the 10$…. they fixed the loophole fairly quickly, but the idea trickles down 2 most sellers 4 many things today….
I was lucky to win and buy one of the previous Pejac prints. Pejac & co had nothing do to with shipping cost. It was all handled with courier. And the mini print aka lottery tickets are very nice collectibles that sell for 10 times the original price on ebay.
