How long do you think the European Union last? , by Daniel Silk on Jan 7, 2019 14:09:34 GMT 1, With the UK leaving the EU, and the possibility of other countries leaving, how long do you think the EU will last? It's not about if you like or dislike the EU, it's about what do you think will actually happen.

Yeah, how long will the German people be willing to foot the bill for the remaining EU countries. Could it end with the German public wanting a vote to leave.

The German people, as I understand it, on the whole are pro the EU, as are German businesses. I think a lot of people here thought the big German manufacturers, of cars in particular, would put a huge amount of pressure on their government to do a deal even if it was favourable to us. That didnโt happen. I believe German manufacturers are also committed to the EU.

How long do you think the European Union last? , by moron on Jan 7, 2019 16:31:07 GMT 1, How long will Germany last? Yeah, how long will the German people be willing to foot the bill for the remaining EU countries. Could it end with the German public wanting a vote to leave. The AFD is talking about leaving the EU.
How long can countries like Germany and France etc keep on propping up the Euro. Without the UK's billions the EU will have a huge amount of money to find to make up for the loss.
I think other EU countries will be watching the UK closely after the transition period ends to see how Britain fares outside of the EU.
Thousands of EU companies and also thousands of UK companies rely on trade with each other.
I am hoping that after this march, that there will be a revolt in the EU and also that the EU elections in May will put a spanner in their works.
The EU only survives on bribes and corruption. Bribes to all the EU staff and MEP's to allow the crooks like Juncker etc to stay in power. With puppets like Merkel and Macron in bed with them.
It seems to be history repeating itself and when other countries see that Britain does better outside of the EU they could leave too. Eastern europe is in the UK for certain reasons but will never be dictated to and lose any sovereignty.
It could be that countries getting big subsidies decide to stay in the way it is and other richer countries hold referendums and go for less attachment to the EU.
I think if the EU breaks up it will happen quickly rather than a slow disintigration. The trouble is that too many European politicians and EU beaurocrats have profited personally from allowing the EU to turn into a bolshevik dictatorship.

How long do you think the European Union last? , by Fast Eddie on Jan 7, 2019 16:50:16 GMT 1, The EU in its current form has shown immense rigidity, because it is essentially an economic union. In bad times the EU lacked the fundamentals of a political union, which is allowing the social blocs in distress to exert political pressure and provide them some form of temporary risk sharing through redistribution or financing.
Instead, capital flows within EU froze and the net creditors pushed for austerity, while debtors were hurting. Much of the populist wave we see now is due to national governments disregarding the needs of those left hanging from the crisis.
Essentially the EU is a union that works well in good times, but not in times of crisis. Making it a better risk-sharing institution would massively improve its prospects of duration.

How long do you think the European Union last? , by moron on Jan 7, 2019 16:55:04 GMT 1, All dictatorships have been run by power mad nutters. The EU is no different.
Here's one in the video who is also a liar.
The EU created the economic crisis across europe. Meanwhile things have got much more expensive and Europe has become less peaceful with more violent crime and terrorism.
Macron has managed to piss off the French and he started early by slagging off the French working class soon after he was elected. Oil prices have gone down and he hiked up diesel fuel prices knowing that a few years ago French people were told to switch to diesel vehicles by a huge marketing campaign and subsidies.
If Macron goes, gets forced out of office then that will affect the EU too.
Macron also wears a hair piece. Always a bad sign.

The worldwide economic crisis... The EU created that did they?
And less peaceful than when exactly? The 70's, 80's or the 40's? I think most people would agree there was far more violence in Europe back then.

How long do you think the European Union last? , by silvermyn on Jan 7, 2019 17:11:19 GMT 1, IMHO the real question should be how long the UK will remain united.
The EU countries, with their different cultures, languages and currencies have shown a far more united front in the way they wish to move forward than the UK has.
The EU has a positive future whereas I don't think the UK's divisions will heal any time soon.

The 40's was a war in Europe and the EU did not end it or bring any peace, it was the individual countries who did that. The EU did not bring about the end of the Soviet Union and the Berlin wall. The USSR economy collapsed and also there were peaceful revolutions in Eastern European countries that had been taken over by communism.
There was less violence in the 70's and 80's across Europe than there is these days. Women were able to walk about by themselves and not get raped or harassed or insulted like they are today in Sweden, Germany etc.

Is that last bit true ? 're places being safer in the 70s ? I think most things seem worse now as it's reported constantly. Just like last week when there was a crisis of 100s of brown people invading our beaches in boats.. When in reality there were a handful.

Overall every single form of violent death is down in Europe, continuously, for every decade, since the 50s.
If you can be bothered (which I doubt), all the statistics are readily available to you through the internet.
It really hurts to say this, but if you are Ploppi, could you please go back to making that awful art you subjected us to in the past

It may surprise you, but there's also a similar graph for Western Europe which also shows terrorism reducing over the last 50 years... although we've had a few big attacks recently, which obviously scare people.

I see you ignored violent attacks and rape.
Not in Sweden, there are more rapes and murders these days than there was in the 70's and 80's and you know full well that unvetted migrants are responsible for the hike in rapes and violent crimes.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Sweden#Murder_and_homicide
When a mayor of a town tells the locals that to prevent their daughters being harassed by migrants when walking to school, that their children should take another route to avoid the migrants is the same as when someone tells people that to avoid being attacked by a vicious dog it's better that they use a different route.
The mayor blaming the locals for their own children being harassed by migrants instead of dealing with and blaming the migrants for harassing the children.
There is a problem which you seem to distract from by talking about figures. There are some who take the view that politicians admitting there is a problem means that they have to deal with it and that also the problem has become too big to deal with so just better to sweep it under the carpet.
I hope you are right about violent deaths which includes terrorism being less than way back decades ago but with all of these unvetted men being allowed into no borders europe no one knows who they are and where their sympathies lie and what the future holds.

It may surprise you, but there's also a similar graph for Western Europe which also shows terrorism reducing over the last 50 years... although we've had a few big attacks recently, which obviously scare people. any graphs for prevented attacks?
any graphs for which type of terrorism has increased or decreased since the 50's?

How long do you think the European Union last? , by mrbagel on Jan 7, 2019 18:38:22 GMT 1, To be fair, it's a bit like when all the black cabbies told us that all these immigrant Uber drivers are rapists and then this story came back to life: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-46265924
It's still all their fault though. Bloody immigrants. Comin' over 'ere. Mending things we've broken.

How long do you think the European Union last? , by moron on Jan 7, 2019 19:20:18 GMT 1, How long will Germany last? Yeah, how long will the German people be willing to foot the bill for the remaining EU countries. Could it end with the German public wanting a vote to leave. From this video. Germany is not a rich country it is a productive country.

Yes they are ALL available, and unfortunately for you the ALL contradict your point of view so seize this chance to educate yourself for once
If you are genuinely interested in evolution of crime, immigration, homicide, welfare, etc...there is an immense wealth of fact based reliable info available

The ultra right wing leader who has been accused of attempting to trivialise the Holocaust after he described the crimes of Hitler and the Nazis as โa speck of birdshit in 1,000 years of glorious German historyโ. Really? And do me a favour, read your sweden wiki article, it wonโt proof your points on sweden, too.
