Will keep my eyes peeled for another framer, will probably go to Darbyshires. Anyone else recommend a top class framer?
Any based in the North West would be a bonus.

a few people saw it coming for a couple of years.
still i have a few of their works around the place including a majestic m small.

Either way it's a real shame.

Have spent a small fortune with them over the last 15 years but more importantly had the pleasure so many times of having a framing appointment with John himself.
It was always a delight to ask him the question 'so do you have anything interesting in at the moment John ?'....and he'd open a few drawers and your jaw would drop at what you were looking at.
But as others have said, I think the family have a pretty lucrative future ahead of them with a nice property portfolio in N4.
Wish them the very best.

We're in the old Station Master's House at Welwyn North Railway Station in Hertfordshire. 30 mins by train from Kings Cross or just under an hour from Cambridge. We have all the old John Jones samples and are busy framing again  its much smaller than John Jones and on an appointment basis so Matt can give each work the attention it needs.
