I really miss VNA magazine, by simona on Jan 19, 2019 20:35:55 GMT 1, For me VNA magazine was a real highlight and I miss it.
Nothing like getting the latest issue, having coffee and a look at the pictures. I usually read the words later !

I really miss VNA magazine, by ricobenfico on Jun 20, 2019 22:31:51 GMT 1, anyone any thoughts on what a full set of the signed limited edition artists covers versions of the VNA mag errrr... should be insured for? Just to be clear, it is not a full set from issue 1, it.s a set of all the ones with the screen printed covers I bet those look nice! Maybe stick a photo up of them all together with a list of the artists....that might help get to a 'valuation'...for insurance purposes... ;-)

From memory, the first screenprinted issue was Dface, and that was the reason for choosing him for the final issue - a nod back to their past

I still have the green one somewhere. Always wanted that blue one. But I never managed to bag one - always seemed to miss the auctions on ebay and discover them after it was too late!

I have the blue Dface I think Iโm missing a couple of the specials - not the hard to get ones. Have all the regular as well, apart from issue 1. I will try to complete the set sometime.

I really miss VNA magazine, by robertjones on Jul 6, 2019 8:26:08 GMT 1, The Blue one was the only one missing from my set had the green, and all the specials that werenโt signed managed to get them signed over the years at different events.
The ROA one was when he was painting a big wall in Bethnal Green, I remember Miss Van said no to me at dface gallery haha.

I had no idea there was a Roa in Bethnal Green. I'm heading there later today so I just Googled it and will see if it's still around!
On the VNAs I decided to sell them all as I couldn't work out a cheap way of displaying them without damaging them. I got half way through and regretted it (it was the Roa one that made me change my mind as I love his stuff and anything by him is so rare). I then bought everything back over about two years!
I also loved reading the mags over a coffee in the garden. And might take the opportunity to flick through some old issues in the sun now!

ROA's works sometimes look better as they age and get tagged. The urban decay works well with the subject matter I think. However in this case I do think this is unfortunate - I'm not sure of the etiquette of it all, but I struggle to imagine how someone could block out over such a fabulous piece in this way.

I really miss VNA magazine, by geoffw on Jul 8, 2019 14:29:14 GMT 1, Hi everyone! Been a (long) while - hope you're all good!
Thanks for the kind words about the magazine...we miss it too. Reality is the core team got very busy with the day jobs, young families etc. and we couldn't commit as much time to it. Very few of us could make openings any more, or participate on here as much as we wanted to. We never wanted to produce anything we weren't happy with so decided it was better to stop and compromise on the quality.
I'll try and be on here a bit more now too.
