Painting a white box framd, by Deleted on Jan 20, 2019 20:39:13 GMT 1, Most of my stuff is framed with white box frames
Some of them were done from railings gallery and not cheap, however they look a bit tired now (shit)
so i saw this lovely Adam Neate tea drinker on Instagram.

I thought i might get mine reframed like it
However. Now i am thinking why not buy some gold leaf paint and paint the shitty white box frame gold, cost is say a fiver
Normally i would have a question, something like, will this work? should i prime it first? any potential issues? any tips?
But I can't be bothered
Gold leaf paint here we come . :-)

Painting a white box framd, by Martin DK on Jan 20, 2019 22:42:22 GMT 1, I personally paint most of my frames myself. I often just get charity shop frames for most of my stuff. While I don’t ever really use primer or varnish, it may be a good idea. I do however try to get some good quality spray paint.
So if you first use some very fine sandpaper on the frame just to break the surface. Afterwards a spray primer, spray paint and a spray varnish, you should have a perfect result IMO.
