For SALE: Takashi Murakami Rose and Blue Velvet 2016 Edition, by Deleted on Jan 30, 2019 13:23:12 GMT 1, I'm curious to know what the forum guardians think of this sort of behaviour. Is the UAA simply an alternative e-bay these days? Is this what most people want?

For SALE: Takashi Murakami Rose and Blue Velvet 2016 Edition, by Happy Shopper on Jan 30, 2019 14:51:13 GMT 1, These were sold as a set of 4 prints. If the seller is keeping the other 2 and selling off the 2 he doesn't want... then i guess it's ok... IF that's the situation. I'd do the same, to be honest!

For SALE: Takashi Murakami Rose and Blue Velvet 2016 Edition, by Pattycakes on Jan 30, 2019 15:09:39 GMT 1, Since he's asking £2800 for the pair and the lot of 4 cost him £4375 I don't think he's being overly greedy assuming he is keeping the other two in the lot.

I’m sure I’ll regret it but I’ll bite...what should the rules be??? You asked a guardian what they thought, he replied and you don’t seem to be happy with his response. Are you suggesting they new members can’t sell, only buy? Can’t sell 2 of 4 items for more than exactly 1/2 of what they paid? I get it...you don’t want the UAA to be eBay, but beyond that what exactly do you want it to be? Sorry mate, no malice intended, it’s just frustrating to read things like this as if I were a new collector it would discourage me from engaging. Maybe that’s what you want.

Sorry mate, no malice intended, it’s just frustrating to read things like this as if I were a new collector it would discourage me from engaging. Maybe that’s what you want. I was asking what people want from this forum. I wasn't trying to dictate what people can and can't do. I personally would prefer people not to join simply to flip stuff but if I am in the minority then fair enough. Incidentally, I don't think a guardian has replied to my post, have they? At least nobody who has revealed themselves as a guardian. There's plenty of Facebook groups where you can buy stuff; and e-bay of course. I think it would be sad if this became just another selling group like hundreds of Facebook groups I could mention. But that's just my opinion. I like UAA because it is not a selling group on the whole. But each to their own I guess. P.S. the original post did not say he bought 4 and was selling the 2 he didn't want (until he went back and amended it). It looked very much like he had just bought some stuff off an auction and joined UAA to sell them on at a profit.

Fair enough. You were in fact asking what people wanted but in the same breath you implied it was becoming eBay. I was just curious as to why you think someone buying 4 prints at auction and selling two is ebay? Posting seemed transparent enough and maybe I’m mistaken but the member seems like a descent guy regardless of whether he’s been a member for one week or 20 years. Apologies regarding my comment about a guardian replying as i thought hapyshopper was a guardian but it looks like he is just a 6 star member and not a guardian. Again, just out of curiosity what would the rules be if it were up to you? A member can’t sell a piece until a certain time threshold is met....60 days, 6 months, 5 years??? And the If you weren’t aware there are nearly a dozen categories in the UAA forum and done have countless sub categories. This particular one is SELLING!! Again, no malice intended, but I just don’t get it with people sometimes.
