Winks....some people are radiators and some are drains, we all know Shy thrives on s**t so I've learned to laugh at it. Sad really but ok by me. People can make their own minds up. Having said that, good on you for calling it out.

Horses for courses. I quite like this (donโt own any Shrigley stuff and find most of his output way too lazy โoh look at me being ironicโ). Then again, why anyone would pay for Martin Whatsonโs uninspired tat is beyond me..

Shrigley is his own man, he does what he wants and crosses genre boundaries. He has become popular worldwide and has managed to get his work into some of the finest establishments in the world....always giving the perception that he has little technical talent. That is why he is loved and collected, he's as anti establishment as it gets. So, although his art seems simplistic and lazy, in my opinion it has more substance than the pretty pictures some may choose to spend that amount on.

Yeah I usually like Shrigley when the words primarily, and image too of course, combine to mean more than the sum of their parts - something he's particulary skillful at achieving. But in this case it's the visual (and the font choice) that really does it.
