Basically taking a page from Banksys playbook. Then he did the Tate with his reduced soup cans, the Vatican with another piece and also displayed his prints outside the walled off. The most recent showing seems unofficial in nature (organized by an individual not connected to banksy) why he chose to include Zedsy as well is anyone’s guess.
Other than that really nothing is known about him, could be anyone, could be no one lol. I imagine he must have some background in street art. The alternative being Poison Apple was the first Stencil he ever cut and sprayed, doesnt seem the most likely to me.

I don't myself think there is a link btween himself and Banksy apart from him been inspired by Banksy also just to add he is from Yorkshire.

For me the apple print was a bit " vulgar " , I mean the junction or the link, and the quote were really not very subtil...
In fact, John made some artworks too in Dismaland, and some other one ( I won't name it ) made a towel too with the err.. flag print ( to print on the website )...

I have one of those reduced cans and it is a beautifully done print.... Regardless to how unique it is
I got it straight from the source and had a few conversations with him about it and he seems like a really chill down to earth dude
