I understand the theft of classic works of art that go into the collect of shady rich people but this stuff is hardly high end stuff and is essentially worthless now. Well not related to the stolen art of the topic, but I have heard a podcast about stolen art and it was quite interesting. apparently heavy criminals like the maffia and drug dealers buy high end stolen art like lets say a Vermeer or a van Gogh to reduce jail time when they get caught. They will make a deal returning the stolen paintings for doing less jail time.

This would mean that anyone offered one of your pieces can notify you and/or the rozzers that they have been offered stolen goods.
Without them, there is no way for a buyer to check if they are buying one of your stolen pieces.
Would there now be any downside in disclosing the edition numbers? I genuinely can’t think of one, but could be wrong.
