Watching the Kardashians, Scott Disick is good friends with Alec Monopoly. He has a vast Monopoly collection. In up to two episodes he casually mentions "oh someone broke into my house and took a bunch of art...again".
This immediately led to me believing that Monopoly gifts Disick these huge art works, SD then takes out huge insurance plans on them (while also driving up their value), and then claims they were "stolen" -collects insurance money. Again, purely speculative...just how like how I assume every cash business is also a money laundering front. But a neat theory.
Anyways---sorry to hear, and hope you get your art back! Definitely strikes the fear in a lot of people who collect.

Ha ha if I was on the scam the items stolen would have been grade A . I’ve lot some lovely things but it could have been a lot worse..

Don’t know him in person. Given the posts it seem as the burglary was aimed at his art collection. Given that he also has B, HM etc but only Pejacs, Oli Epp and other on here hyped artworks where stolen I took things for granted. Seems as it was there home that was searched. Such a shame.

apparently heavy criminals like the maffia and drug dealers buy high end stolen art like lets say a Vermeer or a van Gogh to reduce jail time when they get caught. They will make a deal returning the stolen paintings for doing less jail time.
