This time he is starting beef with KAWS.
My favorite line of Retna's was "WHO THE FUCK GOT TIME TO DISPLACE 40 TONS OF WATER."
This was regarding Kaws' new floating installation in Hong Kong.

It's retna, putting up his classic looking work, and Zevs is there with him painting another wall next to it. Zevs was a cool guy, retna was just doing his own thing. So yeah, he actually paints, and always painted.
I get his point. I don't think Murakami does any of his art any more, maybe he never did, he probably just talks about it and then somebody else makes it. Same for kaws. Idk if he ever painted anything, or what he even has to do with his work at this point. But whatever, thats art.
That being said, I love Murakami, and Kaws meh. I dislike Retna, because I think he's a pretty negative character. But..... I get his point. And I can't say he's wrong.

Thanks for posting all these. I'm not huge on a lot of these artists, but figured there must be a reasonable explanation for Retna's sparse IG. I was not disappointed.
