Plus I'd get to play with it more than if it was sitting on a shelf. Money well spent in my book. I think that would be great to see.

Of course, the Satan in me says that it would also be cool if you gave your child $800 in cash to play with. Imagine the looks on people's faces as you push the stroller past them on the high street and Sean Jr. is fisting hundreds in cash into his mouth.

Kaws BFF Plush, by higuy on Nov 29, 2016 1:28:52 GMT 1, not that $200 (i think i paid closer to $220) is a drop in the bucket either, but i wouldnt consider the perceived value in determining if my kids could play with it. i knew it'd appreciate in value, but it was never anything i intended to sell anyway. no way id actually pay $800 for it. i actually liked the idea of having them get to enjoy a piece of kaws work. it's durable enough for their chaotic enjoyment. my son has stared at some of the vinyl figures on the shelf, which cost less than the bff, but it never seemed like a real toy he should be playing with, so i was happy to get the blue bffs for them. my daughter is too young to spend much attention to anything though so i guess i really only needed one. never expected a black one to come out, and was lucky enough to get that as well. sure wouldve been nicer at that discounted moma price though!

Mines arrive to the FedEx international center in france and was due to be delivered in 3 days. So I went to pick it up. Had to pay 112euros custom fees for 2 companions.

the simple fact of the matter is that no one knows 100% one way or the other. there's been A LOT of speculation.... and no clarification from KAWS camp (probably to stir up hype / demand). i would be surprised if KAWS would use that terminology (knowing full well what it means in the art/toy universe) and have it reference "no box". throughout the releases, most distributors have referenced that companion restocks will be on their way, but will take a while. they did NOT say the same about the BFFs which is a know limited edition.

Not a smart move at all, I have a lot of traffic walking by my place. Fedex will usually never leave a package, but these were shipped out without needing signature confirmation. I actually found the MOMA box they came in down the block when out walking my dog. The worst part was this order had a plush in it, doubt I will be able to replace that. |
