Not sure who Tate Ward is, which is why that flew under my radar. Sounds like a low visibility auction house compared to Sotheby's and Forum etc. Maybe the condition was bad or just not enough exposure. Seems a bit low. Looking for that Unicorn who loves the PF and will be coming in more at that top auction sale price at Forum auctions.

Someone will come along Banksy is a seller's market right now. Well, at least on certain images. That said, I dictate and set the price it will take for me to let it go. Most sellers work like that. As mentioned, while I do wish Tate Ward all the best, it was their first auction and they don't have the exposure of Forum, Sotheby's, Phillip's, Bonham's and Christie's. That is a fair thing to say. Consumer confidence comes with time and I am not surprised the Pulp went for so low when compared to Forum's auction only a few months prior. They've got more visibility and buyers. I don't put much stock in the Tate result or auction house at *this* stage as one that influences and sets the market. Forum got a good number on it. Mine is in excellent condition. I want that number or better or I am not selling. It's very simple. |
