Glenister Road Banksy Art, by lebearfan on Apr 17, 2019 3:08:04 GMT 1, Glenister Park Road, SW16 Street Sign - Potential Banksy Art?
Hello all!
I'm posting a photo of a street sign of which I have little knowledge of as to whether it's an original or fake.
The street sign was originally situated on Glenister Park Road or Glenister Park Road, Streatham Vale, SW 16 in London.
It has 2 markings on it as I'm sure you can make out.
1. Banksy Gangsta Rat
2. Banksy Logo ( partly missing due to erosion )
3. Glenister Park Road has been modified to read Gangster Road with a red line through it.
Now I have seen this in person, and as far as I know, the previous collector purchased it from a council employee who had been performing routine tasks of updating the road sign to the current specification and or damaged signs.
The current owner purchased the piece a good few years ago, though I don’t know how much.
I appreciate there are certain views on street art that have been removed, but in these circumstances, it would have surely been destroyed and there's no way I could imagine anyone binning it... So please, if we could simply stick to trying to establish if this may be an original by Banksy and could be authenticated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am curious to find out.

Glenister Road Banksy Art, by mojo on Apr 17, 2019 15:12:56 GMT 1, Nah, way too neat and its in Streatham! AS IF!
Also councils generally remove paint caused by graffiti they don't commission new street signs and take the ruined one home to sell!
It won't be authenticated by PC as they don't authenticate street works even if they're real.

Glenister Road Banksy Art, by mack on Apr 28, 2019 22:02:48 GMT 1, If you just made this sign and want to sell it, I can recommend Julien's Auctions. Seems to be the nr 1 spot for fake/stolen art.
