Notes on few Artist Editions, by Fast Eddie on Apr 18, 2019 15:50:42 GMT 1, I have been doing a bit of research on a few artist's editions by Ai Weiwei. Here is what I found on the primary market:
Ai Weiwei limited edition Porcelain Peony AUD9000 edition of 99. Hand signed in the certificate

Ai Weiwei limited edition Free Speech Pendant CAD2750 edition of 60. Hand signed in the certificate

Some of these have gone cold and been there for a while. Posting in case some may find this useful.

Vogtle Contemporary have a range of Wei Wei middle finger glass pieces limited to 100 each. Prices at $7000, $7500 or $8000 depending on whether the colour is OK, bad or fucking awful.

I think you mean Weng, not Vogtle, but perhaps I am wrong. They were sold at Art Basel Miami. The white one is money. All Ai Weiwei is money sans those garbage sjw banners he sold on Ebay. These studies on perspective seem a better deal that the rhodium coated ones cast in resin for Brooklyn (edition of 1000) that you now see sold on ebay for $5000-6000.

Normally it's the same edition, the set is added so the customer doesn't have to buy 6 separate items. Usually a small discount is also applied. Counter edition just released K. Bernhardt's prints in that manner.
I would be very surprised if set was treated as a separate edition from the rest.
