TRXTR original, by Filipino Box Spring Hog on Sept 19, 2007 16:13:58 GMT 1, I like that piece quite a bit as well. I had been eyeing it for the past few days...didn't have the cash but, kept coming back to the site to tempt myself.

TRXTR original, by Deleted on Sept 19, 2007 20:22:21 GMT 1, Yeah, I saw that on the site too - like I say, I don't know anything about the artist, and it's hard to tell from a .jpeg, just think it's worth double checking with the gallery to make sure of what you're getting.
thanks for the advice, i have emailed red propeller and asked them about the canvas.

TRXTR original, by runningdog on Sept 19, 2007 23:13:01 GMT 1, That is f**kin' kickass. I'd be seriously happy with that! Any original is much better than a repro no matter what the repro is "worth".
Actually I was just considering buying a "catch me" but the girl's pillows are too wonky

TRXTR original, by Deleted on Sept 20, 2007 11:19:34 GMT 1, here is the very swift response i got from red propeller. very good customer service.
"In the case of this piece TRXTR's multilayered montage was originally printed out onto watercolour paper and then he continued the process of layering by working into it using inks, pencil and watercolour paint. This image was then scanned at extremely high resolution - he then continued to work into it digitally, continuing to build up the layers, wherupon it was again printed out using a Giclee archival quality printer onto canvas to its finished size. He then continued to work into it again with inks, pencil and paint. His final pieces are brought to life and come alive by the inclusion of real creative materials and processes which bring controlled accidents to the surface of the image. The process of building up layers through a combination of print and inks, paints pencil etc infuse his work with a reality and life force not possible with a flat print or simply digital manipulation. I hope this has set your mind at rest - as with all the work we send out if for any reason you don't absolutly love it when you get it then we totally commit to refunding you in full with no questions asked. "

TRXTR original, by mcnuts on Oct 8, 2007 14:39:50 GMT 1, really? what do you like about it? Not a tad cliche? I think it'd get a B in a high school art class. But, it's easy to be a critic

I was actually going to say that I wasn't sure about the twin towers. Apart from that, I just think the style is quite cool. A little on the expensive side though.

I agree the syle is interesting.. very graphic novelish (from what i know of them as they aint my cuppa) but the minute you take away the twin towers, the piece says nothing. Sunbathing at night in the smog? Sure, it's called the "first cut" and i get the symbolism that then acompanies the piece that then refferences 9/11 but this does nothing for me. A chick with a bloody head in a bikin while one of the twin towers burns? Right
