The “ provenance “ you are asking for. Will be hard to find ! ( no coa as you know )
That’s why I don’t try ( despite the lack of money ) to buy the Monkey parliament ( so many fake in posters too ).
I have the tenner that I bought more than 540 quids in 2011 on eBay !
The only proof that I have is that the seller is friend with me on Facebook since the sale 
Anyway I asked in a thread, mine seems legit as it’s an offset one, just a bit clear than the one on the COA, but with all the dots really lisible !

listed from £200 (torn ) to up to £1000( unconfirmed if sold at this price )
Receipts some have listed apart from that there's no proof as these were £5-15 posters and not expected to be worth as much when released .

Got it framed, cheaply, (it was a £5 poster after all). Has been sitting in a cupboard for years. The arseholes in Westminster recently made me think about it. Considered selling so went to remove from the frame. It was heavily glued right along the top of the mount! Tried to ease off. Tore it. Point of no return and realizing it was worth bugger all now I got the rest off by using a pallet knife and hair direr. Worked fairly well.
New frame and mount will hide the white edge and tear so should look ok. Will stick a pic up when its back.

They can pick up some acid free foam-core at the local art supply and sandwich between two sheets. The paper is very thick and the longer it stays in the tube the harder it is to flatten.
PS. Make sure they keep the tube, it has a small white sticker w/ the name on it, thats really the only provenance for the poster.

For one in tip top / mint condition I don't think it's unrealistic to ask 1K.

One of the monkey parliaments fell off the wall and the glass ruined it. About four years ago. Never would I imagine that a £10 print would be worth as much as it is now.l as we as petrol bomb. Both damaged.
Oh well not for sale anyway. What was the dude at the museum that was answering the phone and taking orders Tilly or something.
