Phillips is honored to present the cherished wrist**tch of the greatest champion in the history of professional golf, Jack Nicklaus โ also known as the Golden Bear. This Rolex DayโDate Reference 1803 in yellow gold has graced the wrist of Mr. Nicklaus nearly every day since he received it as a gift from Rolex in 1967 and was present when he won 12 of his record 18 professional major championship titles โ often photographed when Jack Nicklaus hoisted the championship trophy following his victories. The DayโDate is Rolexโs most prestigious model and one of the worldโs most famous watches.
Phillips is thrilled to present this iconic DayโDate โ one of the most storied Rolex watches to appear on the market โ on 10 December 2019 during a tightly curated and important thematic auction in New York. Prior to the auction, the watch will be presented on an international tour, which will include viewings in London, Geneva, Hong Kong, and throughout the United States. The tour will begin at the Jack Nicklaus Museum in Columbus, Ohio, on 29 May, followed by the Memorial Tournament Presented by Nationwide, hosted by Jack Nicklaus in Dublin, Ohio from 30 May - 2 June. The watch will then be exhibited at the US Open at Pebble Beach from 13-16 June

I had a 'Big Block' years ago. Sold it for ยฃ1500! Wish I had kept it now if that's the way they're heading. The SM300 Milspec and the PD 7176 as well. Come to think of it, all were pretty lofty prices on the day. Paying a rather significant premium for that celebrity connection. I mean, Rory Kaplan... WHO?! 
Old tudors have been climbing for quite a while , was shocked to see what the subs sell for now , 12 years ago were ยฃ800-1000!
