Parra The Tomato Chair by Case Studyo, by kuni on Jun 11, 2019 18:47:50 GMT 1, I think that OTI picking him up definitely created a bit of a stir. He reminds me a bit of Kaws in that he's managed to create a large market for his branded open edition items (he has an entire store of branded stuff) and partnerships with big brands, while maintaining a certain level of exclusivity around his editions and canvases. His merchandise hasn't watered down his brand.
I've yet to see one of his OG's come up for sale on UAA.

From their history of releases, it feels like they're more about raking in the dough for themselves rather than cultivating an artist's growth. Hope I'm wrong.

I must have totally missed it. Not that Iโve got $15k to drop on one, but if I had that kind of spare coin Iโd definitely consider it. Iโd love to own a small OG of his.

Parra The Tomato Chair by Case Studyo, by honestcrooks on Jun 13, 2019 21:38:14 GMT 1, 2019/2020 will be spectacular for Parra fans. No worries, a lot of great stuff in the pipeline! Honestly, I think Parra has a broad enough base to use OTI for what they are and not the other way around. His work has consistent quality, keeps growing in style and always surprises with one thing or another.
I doubt that he will ever reach Kaws status (not because of skills, but because of bad management and not the right people backing him up) but he is here to stay, that's for sure.
