I do appreciate that they are lithographs (probably plate litho not stone litho as that would mean Hebru would have drawn directly on the stone). In the print world, lithography is the rich man's screenprint. You can get much finer detail, texture and since its an oil-based technique (versus screen printing which is mostly water-based) the colors will be much more vibrant. All of this means that the production cost is going to be higher. Also soupy, I wonder how much control PTA has over the price. Im sure they make a recommendation, but at the end of the day their artist clients must ultimately have the final say. Just my thought/opinion.

Hebru's other editions have been digital and screen prints, which are less expensive process. Lithography is a far superior and more hands on technique, which will undoubtedly have a higher price. This price seems way more fitting versus the recent Retna PTA releases.

Though I was happy to pick up a toy from a pop up I could not get to for a great deal as the hype is exceeding the demand.

Yeah Iโve been disappointed with just new color ways of the same. Then when I saw this print I was again disappointed as I donโt think it shows as well as the figure does. With the toys it really feels like people want this to be the next Kaws / Companion thing.
The last toy. 18" version I think it was. Took quite a while to sell out... but I don't know how many were made.
I liked the boy with goggles image when I first saw it, but it's gone nowhere and seems boring already.
