I am in chat groups with ex members from here that have more posts each day than this place and I assure you better content in terms of new art exhibitions and art debate
Yep, this is exactly my point. UAA used to be busy - thriving, with hundreds of posts a day and a fully-engaged user base.
A few weeks ago, if you viewed by 'New Posts' you might see fewer than 30 posts made in any 24h period. As such the site stats are going down, making UAA a less viable product to sell on to advertisers.
Clickbait ebay/youtube posts, trolly argumentative threads etc - whilst taking away from the content quality - do drive up view stats, page impressions etc.
A lot of advertisers will give a cursory glance to content, some don't even bother and purchase adspace based on stats alone.
So admin have no reasons to close off - they've chosen to leave the place unmoderated, and not even allow 'forum guardians' or 'moderators' such as yourself, wearology etc, to have any power to change things.
The chat groups are all closed-shops, so we get what we have.

I was lucky enough to grab the Invader tiles from the recent drop. I’m also getting hooked on John Doe again. Mainly because my wife likes a few bits I bought last year and got framed….she has even picked out a piece she wants

im still a big fan of Penny but don’t buy his stuff anymore. His laptop was stolen not long ago which had his plans and work for new pieces. That has slowed him down with new releases unfortunately. He’s still one of the artists I look at and go Wow.

A quite a small shop he’d taken over and he was there with all his family. Felt like they were watching you walk around and was intruding. Didn’t buy anything. He’ll be stuck for inspiration now his kids have grown up, unless had more. Wonder what he’s moved onto. Always was a bit character based for me in his paintings. I don’t mind characters in sculpture so much.
I quite liked the Soho show. I much preferred the one in Mayfair though. That was a great show. Great interaction and great chats with him.

But it was on the Saturday. Sunday was a write off for me. So I missed the orange. Hardly a tent full. But I saw a someone with about 10tubes. After I posted on here. You lot are everywhere. Little snitches in the most random of pubs 🙄 how Banksy stays anon for such a long time is his biggest achievement probably. It’s actually quite hard.

I would just like to point out those are not my posters and I wasn’t at Glastonbury. It was sent to me by the eBay member that couldn’t fulfill orders due to mental health. I’m sure their mental health is fine now though with all that profit. In all fairness FairPlay to them. Thankfully there was decent members on here that did me a decent deal to get the set. Well a good deal if they are banksy and spanked my arse if they are not 😂

Freedom is the ability to act or choose without limitations. It emphasizes the absence of external coercion. However, freedom can be superficial if it is not accompanied by a sense of autonomy.
Autonomy includes freedom, but adds a deeper dimension to it. It is not only the freedom to choose, but also the freedom to make choices that are truly your own, that resonate with your inner beliefs and values. Freedom without autonomy can lead to choices that are free, but not satisfying or meaningful.
Banksy has shown he makes choices that are truly his own, that resonates with his inner beliefs and values. I’ve seen what his values are, and his behaviour makes me wonder if he’s experiencing an internal conflict. Or is he just paying off his debt every time with certain ‘good’ deeds. You got to wonder if he ain’t some catholic.
We often think of independence as the ability to act or live without help from others. It is about self-sufficiency, where you are not dependent on external support. They really have lost the plot up eachothers asshole and it does start to become a pisstake of the public who pay their wages.

It’s must have cost a lot of time and money and is an investment in the festival. Also doesn’t look like anyone’s really making money of these prints. There’s not many being sold for not very much. Average print from anyone these days is £300. It’s not 1999 anymore These aren’t money for anyone. Maybe covered the cost of a few glasto tickets, what’s the problem with that.
But reading this, I don’t think he’s experiencing an internal conflict, he hasn’t got the brains for it. He’s just an catholic. Sad enough though. Anyway, I wish him a happy and healthy life.
